Saturday morning October 1st, 8 Juno members on 6 bikes packing tents, tent trailers, food and drink set out to visit CAV HQ (AKA Trapper and Pamela's house). Originally we had 9 travellers but due to a family illness 1 had to cancel, we wish him and his family a speedy recovery. We met at 0700hrs for coffee and KSU at 0730, it was a brisk 7 deg C and the crosswinds on the 401 bounced us from left to right, but we were visiting a man who has crossed Canada countless number of times in all kinds of weather.

Mother nature was going to have to better than she was to stop this trip. With a couple of quick stops along the way for gas fill and bladder empty we arrived at our destination before noon.

We set up camp and fired up the BBQ's for a quick lunch and got set to be lead by Trapper, Pamela, and Jessie to the St. Jacob's Market. On the way to the market we crossed paths with Gulf-Kuwait's Sllim who decided to join us for the day.

The market is a site to see, fresh veggies, fruits, meats as well as hand crafted furniture and other items. The market is also home for many vendors selling everything from leather to bed sheets. Two hours at the market is not nearly enough to see it all but now they are closing and we have to fight the traffic to get out of the parking lot, Slim asked if we wanted to go back via a covered bridge, and of course we were more than happy to have this experience. Slim did a great job leading us through the traffic with ease and out to the bridge. At the bridge we learned that there was more to the visit than what was just in front of us - Trapper told us a story of tragedy at this lovely spot, "one year to the day a fellow CAV member was found to have surcome to the evils of stress in this very spot"

From here Trapper led us back to their place where we toured the many rooms and hundreds of artifacts, colletables, and personal items from his past. Each item coming with a story, a history, a meaning.

It is said that a picture tells a thousand words but neither a picture nor these words can describe the experience we were fortunate enough to have.
Thanks to Trapper and Pamela for a fantastic weekend from Juno members Bear, Gigs, Ultraman, Lambchop, Flame, Tweet, Spyderman, and Dumper bye.
